About Hartbeespoort

Hartbeespoort is situated in the North West region of South Africa and is better known for its Hartbeespoort Dam which is on the slopes of the Magaliesberg mountains. The town is a small resort town which consists of many holiday homes, guest houses and the Eagle's Waters Resort. Many business people have moved away from the hustle and bustle of the city to reside in Hartbeespoort for its country and tranquil lifestyle.

The town is centrally located between Johannesburg, Pretoria, Rustenburg and the ever popular Sun City and is less than 45 minutes' drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

The most sought after property around the dam are in security estates, i.e. golf estates and country estates. All these estates offer a safe location for families with magnificent views overlooking the picturesque dam and majestic Magalies mountains in a truly un-spoilt African bushveld setting.

Pecanwood College and Doxa Deo Private School are two popular private schools. The new high school boarding house has been another recent addition to Pecanwood College which has been hugely successful.

The Village Mall offers many shops and restaurants. For organic goods, fresh produce, home-made cheeses, eats and treats visit the Jasmyn Farm Stall. The well known Windmill Restaurant with it’s Dutch-style windmill is situated right next to Jasmyn.
